Serving Persecuted Christians Worldwide - Standing Strong Live - Open Doors UK & Ireland
Standing Strong 2022

You are warmly invited to join Open Doors supporters for our annual gathering, together again in-person, at this year’s Standing Strong on Saturday 24 September 2022 at Trent Vineyard, Nottingham.

Evening event 7:30-9pm

Attend the evening event, in-person or watch online. Join us and meet your persecuted church family from the Middle East and Asia. You will be encouraged by their stories of courage and faith and have an opportunity to unite with them in prayer and worship.

Afternoon seminars 3-5pm

This year, in-person attendees also have the opportunity to attend two afternoon seminars. There will be a choice of three seminars: ‘Living in Afghanistan the most dangerous place to be a Christian’, ‘How hope is being restored in the Middle East’ and ‘The global trends of persecution.’

Father Daniel

Father (now Bishop) Daniel from Iraq will be one of our speakers at both the evening event and seminars. He has experienced persecution for his faith since childhood – but he is committed to rebuilding and encouraging the church in Iraq to stand firm and keep proclaiming the gospel in their communities. You can hear more of Father Daniel’s story, and how your prayers and support are helping our persecuted church family in Iraq to stand strong, by joining us this September.

Resorts World Arena update

As we are still emerging from Covid, we believe it is not appropriate, at this time, to host a large-scale in-person event. We have therefore decided to postpone our booking at Resorts World Arena to 2023.

If you have ticket(s) booked for the Standing Strong event taking place at Resorts World Arena, all of your tickets - including any youth, children, family, group and lunch tickets that you may have ordered - will now be automatically transferred to 2023.

Please note, full refunds are available. To request a refund, please do this via the account of your ticket provider. If you booked directly through Ticket Factory, please contact them and request a refund through this form. You can find more details within our FAQs below.

Those who booked over the phone with our Inspire team will have booked via Eventbrite. Details on how to request a refund via your Eventbrite account can be found here. You can find more details within our FAQs below.

If you have booked tickets on behalf of others, please notify them also as we don’t hold their contact details.

FAQs

We are thankful that we will be gathering together in person once again for Standing Strong this year. However, as we are still emerging from Covid, we believe it is not appropriate, at this time, to host a large scale in-person event. We have therefore decided to postpone our booking at Resorts World Arena to 2023

After two years of Standing Strong being online, we are excited to announce that we will be gathering together in-person for Standing Strong 2022 on Saturday 24 September at Trent Vineyard, Nottingham.

This year we will be offering you the opportunity to attend afternoon seminars (in-person only) from 3-5pm, as well as attend the evening event at 7:30-9pm, which you can attend in person or watch online.

Our afternoon seminars will be in-person only and you will have the opportunity to attend two seminars. Seminar topics will cover; Living in Afghanistan the most dangerous place to be a Christian’, ‘How hope is being restored in the Middle East’ and ‘The global Trends of Persecution.’

All tickets, whether they are individual, group, children, youth or family tickets, will be transferred to the Standing Strong event at Resorts World Arena in 2023. There are no extra fees to pay. Full refunds are also available on all tickets.

Yes, if you purchased a lunch ticket, this will also be transferred. Or, if you have requested a refund, it will be refunded instead.

Unfortunately, as the venue and ticket prices for this year’s Standing Strong event are not the same, we are unable to transfer tickets booked for Resorts World Arena to Standing Strong at Trent Vineyard.

You will need to request a refund on the tickets you still have booked either through Ticket Factory or Eventbrite and make a new booking using the links above for this year’s event.

If you booked online, then you will need to request a refund via your Ticket Factory account. You can contact Ticket Factory and request a refund via the form saved here. Ticket Factory will also contact you directly via email.

If you booked tickets via Eventbrite, please see details on how to request a refund via your Eventbrite account here.

If you booked tickets via Eventbrite and want a refund made to a different credit/debit card you can update your details on your Eventbrite order. Please see Eventbrite FAQ’s here.

If you booked tickets via Ticket Factory please include details about your change of payment details when filling out the customer services form.

If you have any difficulties with this, or if you have any further questions, please email us at inspire@opendoorsuk.org or call us on 01993 460015.

If you paid for your tickets via cheque, then a member of our Inspire team will be in touch with you to ask how you would like to be refunded. A full refund can be provided to you via either bank transfer or cheque.

You can request a refund for those tickets that are affected, rather than your whole order. Please see refund instructions on how to do that.
